Doncaster MBC are currently looking to hire an operations manager to assist the Team Manager in leading and managing a Community and School Social Work Team, or Borough-wide Duty and Assessment team, which provides and commissions services for Children in Need, including Looked After Children.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
•To assist the Team Manager in leading and managing the borough-wide duty and assessment services to children in need and their families.
•To be responsible, with the Team Manager, for ensuring that borough-wide service provision is professional and consistent for children in need in Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council through teamwork with colleagues and the efficient, effective use of staff and resources.
•To assist in managing the Team’s performance in relation to the implementation of the Assessment Framework, with particular reference to achieving timescales for Initial and Core Assessments.
•To assist the Team Manager in managing the provision of an efficient and effective child protection service, including oversight of a rota for Section 47 investigations.
•To ensure, with the Team Manager, a close liaison with the Emergency Response Team and other out of hours services to provide an efficient 24 hour response.
