The Children's Disability Team is a specialist social work team working with severely and profoundly disabled children and young people aged 0 - 18 and their families, across Solihull.
The team comprises Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, 5.5 Social Workers, Family Support Worker and 2 administrators / receptionists.
We provide the full range of social work services to severely disabled children i.e. initial, core and specialist assessments, care packages, transitional planning, looked after children, safeguarding, court work, adoption. As a member of a specialist team, you can expect to have less safeguarding and court work than you would have in a mainstream fieldwork team, but you probably will have some!
There is opportunity here to become involved in an innovative, continually developing specialist provision, and to make an impact both on the lives of individual children and on the whole service.
