Birmingham City Council are looking for a senior practitioner required for a very busy care management team based at Hodge Hill.
Candidate must have experience in all areas of court work and care proceedings, be fully Child Protection accredited, and have experience in Looked After Children and complex Children in Need.
The senior practitioner must also be experienced in all areas of Care Planning, Policy and Procedures for Looked After Children and permanence planning re: placement order, adoption regulations and have an understanding of the process to present cases at different panels.
It would be expected that the candidate is able to independently manage a complex case load; support and guide less experienced social workers in addition to assisting the team manager in attending or chairing a variety of meetings as required.
Applicants would be required to start immediately, car drivers would be preferred. All applicants must be GSCC registered and have current enhanced CRBs.
