Solihull MBC are currently looking for two qualified social workers to join their friendly fostering team. Candidates will ideally have previous work or placement experience within a child care and fostering setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including:
1. To manage assigned work in accordance with DoH guidelines, National Fostering standards, Departmental Policies and Procedures, Standing Orders, Budget and other relevant legislation.
2. To work in accordance with the Fostering Teams Performance Standards and Targets.
3. To make a timely and appropriate response to all work allocated.
4. To take an active role in foster carer recruitment.
5. To process foster carer applications, undertake preparation groups and assessments and provide reports on recommended outcomes.
