Occupational Therapist

We have an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our established team, made up of a Team Manager, Senior OT’s, Community OT’s and OT Assistants. You will be working alongside care managers, sensory impairment workers and Home Care staff to provide comprehensive, integrated assessments of need for adults with physical disabilities. You will have a key role in our community care services by carrying out home-based functional assessments, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
An important aspect of your role will be to provide the Occupational Therapy input to our new and innovative ‘BridgeStart’ enabling Home Care service. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Home Care staff providing the therapeutic input to a 6-week programme aimed at maximising the independence of service users.
You will need to be enthusiastic, imaginative, enjoy the challenge of problem solving and working with people in a community setting. You will need to utilise a broad range of Occupational Therapy skills, as you will be working closely with people who have a wide range of disabilities and ages, their carers and families. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in a Social Services setting.
