Lancashire Council are looking for a qualified social worker to join the children and families team in Chorley. The candidate must be able to work flexibly (eg additional hours where case load dictates) have experience using assessment framework and CP procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
-To manage an allocated workload of children in need who may also be looked after and their families.
-To identify children in need who may also be in need of protection.
-To determine an appropriate level of intervention and service provision including packages of family support.
-To manage complex packages of family support including supervision of children on the Child Protection Register as key worker.
-To manage cases and represent the Directorate in court proceedings.
