Social Work Training - General


Let Swim help you make a difference by offering training solutions towards the renewal of your General Social Care Council (GSCC) post registration and learning (PRTL) and career development. Swim understand the importance for continuing professional development (CPD) and have facilitated a comprehensive training programme to benefit and influence the social care sector professionals.

We have designed the training courses to assist you with your job, to gain relevant knowledge and refresh your skills and practice for everyday work; covering  areas for both children, vulnerable adults and generic training; working together with ‘Skills for Care’ and Children Workforce Development Council (CWDC) to work towards best practice. All courses are led by experienced, senior level social care professionals and you will be awarded a certificate at the end of the course.

Our qualified (MREC) Consultants are available to assist you and help you book onto courses.

Time Management & Work  / Life Balance

Saturday 11th September 2010
09:30 – 16:30 (Break for lunch)
Practitioners in ‘front line’ health and social care roles such as Children Services, Adults Social Care and Community Mental Health Teams. Course participants may be working in either the statutory or voluntary sectors.

To enable participants, often working in pressured practice environments, to maximize the effectiveness of their time in work. As part of this, to ensure that stress levels do not become too high and avoid the risks of ‘burn-out’ to both the individual and the organization.

The second major aim is to enable participants to create an effective balance between the demands of their work role and their home life relationships. The approach and specific techniques will also be useful as a tool in work with clients who are experiencing these difficulties.

All courses are designed as a workshop, with maximum opportunities for interaction between trainer & course participants. Powerpoint presentation and hand out material is provided, combined with individual & small group practice.

  • Swim locums £25.00* (Non attendance will be charged @£75)
  • Swim registrants £100.00* (£75 rebate once you start working via Swim)
