Practice’

education professionals in both statutory and voluntary sectors,
particularly Social Workers in Children’s Services; Youth Justice
Workers, Youth Workers, Health Professions in Primary Care, Teachers
and other professionals in primary and secondary education, Early Years
professionals of disciplines.
To enable professionals within
Children’s Workforce to develop a sound understanding of the Every
Child Matters agenda and it’s implications for their practice. By the
end of the day, participants will: Have a clear understanding of the
background to the Every Child matters agenda. Be aware of the key
themes and guiding principles within the agenda, and how these have
influenced government guidance. Recognise how the ECM agenda is
intended to inform the practice. Have reflected on ways in which
they can transform their practice to reflect the ECM agenda.
